April 5, 2026 : A legal awareness program was conducted in Barga village on April 5 by Lalbag Police in collaboration with Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Parth Dubey, Rajnandgaon. The initiative aimed at educating local residents about their legal rights and available remedies under various laws.

During the session, Magistrate Paarth Dubey interacted directly with villagers, listened to their concerns, and provided guidance on resolving issues through proper legal channels. The program focused on spreading awareness about key legal provisions and recent developments in law.

Participants were informed about women’s rights, domestic violence laws, gender-based offences, cybercrime and cybersecurity, as well as provisions under the POCSO Act. The session also included discussions on new legal frameworks and offered career guidance to attendees.

In addition, awareness was raised about the harmful effects of narcotics and illegal drug use. Villagers were educated on how substance abuse negatively impacts families and society, and were encouraged to stay away from such activities and promote a drug-free environment within their communities.

The program witnessed active participation from local representatives and villagers, making it an effective step toward legal literacy and social awareness.
