National Lok Adalat to Be Held on May 9, 2026 Across Balodabazar District

April 10, 2026 : Under the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat will be organized on May 9, 2026. The Lok Adalat will be conducted at both district and तहसील levels across court premises in Balodabazar district.

According to information received from the District Legal Services Authority, Balodabazar, a wide range of cases will be taken up for disposal through settlement. These include civil cases, criminal compoundable cases, motor accident claim tribunal matters, family disputes, labour disputes, cheque bounce cases under Section 138, rent-related disputes, bank recovery matters, electricity theft cases, and other compoundable cases pending before district courts, excluding land acquisition and revenue-related matters.

In addition, pre-litigation cases will also be addressed during the Lok Adalat. These include disputes related to bank loan recovery, pending electricity bill dues, and cases involving other financial institutions, where parties may opt for settlement before formal litigation.
