IIM Raipur Partners with SAGE Publications to Launch Global Journal on Entrepreneurship

April 10, 2026 : The Indian Institute of Management Raipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAGE Publications India to introduce its flagship academic journal, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development Review, marking a significant step in advancing India’s presence in global management research.

The initiative represents a key milestone in the institute’s academic journey, aimed at building a high-quality and globally competitive platform for research in entrepreneurship, enterprise development and business innovation. The journal is aligned with the institute’s vision of “Building Business Owners” and is expected to follow international publishing standards, ensuring broader global reach and recognition.

Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge of IIM Raipur, said the launch reflects the institution’s growing academic ecosystem. He noted that the institute has consistently worked towards strengthening its academic programmes and research output, and the new journal will serve as an extension of its intellectual contributions and global ambitions.

Professor Satyasiba Das, Dean (External Relations), welcomed the collaboration and highlighted the need for strong indigenous academic platforms. He observed that while Indian scholars continue to contribute to international journals, developing globally competitive domestic platforms is essential. He added that the journal represents a long-term strategic commitment requiring sustained academic rigour.

The journal has been in development for over two years under the leadership of Professors Manojit Chattopadhyay and Pradiptarathi Panda, in collaboration with the SAGE team. It is envisioned as a flagship initiative to promote high-impact research, encourage scholarly exchange and strengthen India’s footprint in global management literature.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the IIM Raipur campus in the presence of faculty members, research scholars and representatives of SAGE Publications, marking the beginning of a long-term academic partnership focused on excellence in research and publishing.
