Preparations Intensify Across Chhattisgarh for Supreme Court’s ‘Samadhan Samaroh’; Special Lok Adalat to Resolve Pending Cases from August 21 to 23

May 28, 2026 : Preparations are underway across Chhattisgarh for the three-day “Samadhan Samaroh” (Special Lok Adalat) being organized under the guidance of the Supreme Court of India from August 21 to August 23, 2026. Acting on the directions of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur, and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Raipur, authorities have stepped up arrangements at various locations to ensure the successful conduct of the event.

The special Lok Adalat will facilitate the settlement of all compromise-eligible civil cases, compoundable criminal matters, and motor accident claim cases through mutual consent and amicable resolution. The initiative is aimed at providing litigants with a speedy, cost-effective, and harmonious mechanism for resolving long-pending disputes.

To encourage maximum participation, legal services authorities have been conducting awareness campaigns and reaching out to citizens and litigants, urging them to take advantage of the opportunity to settle their pending cases. As part of the preparatory process, notices for pre-sitting sessions have already been issued to concerned parties to ensure that settlement proceedings are completed smoothly and without procedural delays during the three-day event.

Litigants may contact the District Legal Services Authority, Raipur, for assistance and information regarding their cases. The authority has also made arrangements for participation through video conferencing. Parties can seek guidance by contacting DLSA Raipur on mobile numbers 83051-08993 and 70000-46278.

Meanwhile, litigants from other districts have been advised to approach their nearest District Legal Services Authority office to explore the possibility of resolving their pending matters through settlement. Authorities expect the Samadhan Samaroh to play a significant role in reducing court pendency and promoting accessible, efficient, and people-centric justice delivery.
