Kondagaon DLSA Reviews Legal Aid Outreach, Strengthens Action Plan for Community Legal Awareness

June 1, 2026 : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kondagaon, held its monthly review meeting on June 1, 2026, to assess the progress of legal awareness and public welfare initiatives being carried out across the district through its network of Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs).

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khilawan Ram Rigri, Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Kondagaon. Smt. Reshma Bairagi Patel, I Civil Judge Senior Division and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kondagaon, also participated in the proceedings and reviewed the ongoing legal aid and outreach activities.

During the meeting, the authority evaluated the work undertaken by Para Legal Volunteers in spreading legal awareness among citizens, facilitating access to justice, and assisting vulnerable sections of society. The review focused on outreach efforts in rural and remote areas, awareness campaigns on legal rights, and initiatives aimed at improving public access to legal services.

The participants discussed the effectiveness of ongoing programs and identified areas requiring greater engagement and coordination. Emphasis was placed on strengthening grassroots legal literacy, ensuring wider dissemination of information regarding free legal aid services, and enhancing community participation in legal awareness activities.

The meeting also outlined an action plan for the coming months, with directions to intensify awareness drives and expand legal aid outreach programs across the district. The District Legal Services Authority reaffirmed its commitment to promoting access to justice and ensuring that legal assistance reaches those in need through sustained community-based initiatives.
