June 24, 2026 : As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, house-to-house enumeration in Delhi will begin on June 30. Ahead of the exercise, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi chaired a meeting with representatives of major political parties in New Delhi to discuss the revision process and ensure smooth implementation.
According to the CEO’s office, representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Indian National Congress attended the meeting. The CEO reiterated that the primary objective of the Special Intensive Revision is to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral roll while preventing the inclusion of ineligible persons.
During the meeting, political party representatives were briefed on the key activities to be carried out during the enumeration phase. Election officials also explained the procedure for filling out Enumeration Forms under different circumstances to facilitate accurate voter registration and verification.
The CEO addressed various queries raised by political parties regarding the revision process and clarified the procedures involved. Political parties were urged to extend full cooperation to the election machinery at every level during the Special Intensive Revision. Representatives assured the Election Commission of their complete support, assistance, and active participation throughout the exercise.
