July 3, 2026 : The Department of Legal Affairs and the Legislative Department under the Ministry of Law and Justice will jointly organise the Reforms Utsav and Chintan Shivir 2026 from tomorrow at Mount Abu in Rajasthan. The two-day event aims to review the Ministry’s major achievements, deliberate on key legal and institutional reforms, and chart the future roadmap for strengthening India’s legal and governance framework.
According to the Ministry of Law and Justice, the programme is designed to support the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by promoting a modern, efficient and citizen-centric legal system. The event will bring together senior officials and stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify practical reforms and improve governance and public service delivery.
Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will participate in the programme. The discussions will cover a wide range of subjects, including legal governance, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), legislative reforms, the use of Artificial Intelligence in the legal sector, technology-enabled governance, capacity building and administrative excellence.
The Ministry said the event will feature thematic presentations and brainstorming sessions aimed at developing innovative policy initiatives and strengthening institutional efficiency to meet the evolving needs of the justice delivery system.
