CBI Detains Latur Paediatrician in NEET Paper Leak Probe Over Alleged Purchase of Question Paper for Daughter

May 21, 2026 : In a significant development in the NEET paper leak investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly taken Latur-based paediatrician Dr Manoj Shirure into custody.

According to sources, investigating agencies suspect that Dr Shirure allegedly purchased the NEET examination question paper for his daughter.

A few days earlier, CBI officials visited his hospital in Latur and conducted an extensive inquiry as part of the ongoing probe. He was later summoned to Pune for further questioning.

Following several rounds of interrogation in Pune, the CBI reportedly took him into custody for further investigation in the case.
