Law Notify : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday launched Electronic Personnel Licence (EPL) services for the Airline Transport Pilot Licence in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, the Director General of Civil Aviation said the EPL initiative marks an important step in strengthening India’s civil aviation regulatory framework by adopting secure, modern and future-ready digital systems.
The Electronic Personnel Licence is a secure digital licence embedded with security features aligned with standards of the International Civil Aviation Organisation. It is designed to ensure authenticity, prevent tampering, and allow real-time verification of pilot credentials.
