March 04, 2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi held separate telephone conversations with the leaders of Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman, expressing India’s solidarity and condemning violations of their sovereignty and territorial integrity amid recent tensions in the region.

During his call with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister strongly denounced any infringement of Kuwait’s sovereignty. He said India stands with the people of Kuwait during this difficult period and emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means to restore peace and stability in the region. In a social media post, Modi also thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian community living in Kuwait.

The Prime Minister also spoke with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, conveying India’s firm solidarity with the country. Modi condemned any violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Both leaders underlined the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through diplomatic dialogue. Modi also appreciated the Amir’s continued support and care for the Indian community residing in Qatar during the ongoing situation.

In another conversation, Modi spoke with the Sultan of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia. He condemned any violation of Oman’s sovereignty and stressed that sustained diplomatic engagement is essential for restoring peace and stability at the earliest. The Prime Minister also thanked the Omani leadership for their continued support to the Indian diaspora in the country.

Through these conversations, India reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and its support for friendly nations in West Asia during the current challenges.
