Dehradun, September 25, 2026: The Urban Development Directorate (UDD), Government of Uttarakhand, has invited applications from eligible professionals for the post of Legal Expert on a contractual basis. The recruitment notification, dated September 23, 2026, announces one vacancy with a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹75,000.
Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications
According to the notification, candidates must possess an LLB or LLM degree and have at least 10 years of experience. Applicants should have thorough knowledge of Hindi, English and computer operations. Additionally, candidates must have more than three years of experience working with a High Court.
The selected candidate will initially be engaged for a period of one year. The engagement may be extended depending on satisfactory performance, continued requirements and approval from the competent authority.

The last date for receipt of applications is October 14, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Candidates should clearly mention the name of the post applied for on the top of the envelope.
Interview and Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the date and venue of the interview through email or mobile communication. The Directorate has clarified that separate communication will not be issued to candidates who are not shortlisted. No TA/DA will be provided to candidates appearing for the interview.
The Director, Urban Development Directorate, Dehradun, has reserved the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
