June 22, 2026 : To provide relief and ensure transparency in birth and death registration matters, the District Planning and Statistics Office, Jashpur, has issued important information regarding the statutory appeal mechanism available to citizens.
According to the notification, any applicant who is dissatisfied with an order passed by the concerned Registrar in a birth or death registration case has the right to file an appeal before the District Registrar. If the applicant remains unsatisfied with the decision of the District Registrar, a further appeal may be submitted to the Chief Registrar, Chhattisgarh, and the Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Raipur.
The office has stated that applicants must attach a copy of the disputed order, relevant supporting documents, and a clear statement of facts related to the case while filing an appeal. These documents are necessary for proper examination of the matter and for ensuring that a decision is made in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
The district administration has urged citizens to make use of the available legal appeal process in cases involving disputes, errors, or objections related to birth and death registration. For additional information, citizens may contact their local Registrar or the office of the District Registrar.
