Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Inspects Kanker District Court, Reviews Judicial Infrastructure and Digital Facilities

July 21, 2026 : Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Ramesh Sinha, conducted an inspection of the District and Sessions Court, Kanker, to review the functioning of judicial infrastructure and court administration. During the visit, he inspected the Principal District and Sessions Court, Family Court, First Additional District and Sessions Court, Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, and Civil Judge Courts.

The Chief Justice also reviewed several important sections of the court complex, including the Central Process Section, Record Room, Server Room, Legal Aid and Defense Counsel System, Malkhana (property room), Accounts Section, Library, Digitization and Scanning Centre, Victim Rest Room, and the Kilkari Room. He directed court officials to further improve court facilities and ensure efficient judicial administration.

Following the inspection, Justice Ramesh Sinha interacted with judicial officers, advocates, and court staff at the conference hall of the District Court, Kanker. He discussed measures to strengthen judicial functioning and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of court administration.

Upon his arrival, Principal District and Sessions Judge Sanjeev Kumar Tamak, Family Court Judge Ramashankar Prasad, and other judicial officers welcomed the Chief Justice with bouquets.

The inspection was attended by the Registrar General of the Chhattisgarh High Court, officers and staff from the High Court Registry, Principal District and Sessions Judge Sanjeev Kumar Tamak, Family Court Judge Ramashankar Prasad, Collector Nilesh Kumar Mahadev Kshirsagar, First District and Sessions Judge (Pakhanjur) Vijay Minj, First District and Sessions Judge (Bhanupratappur) Deepak Gupta, First District and Sessions Judge (Kanker) Vibha Pandey, Chief Judicial Magistrate Bhaskar Mishra, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Shanti Prabhu, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ankita Tigga, Civil Judges Dhruvraj Gwal, Nikhil Sahu, Ayushi Shukla, Himanshu Chandrakar, Mayank Dhruv, Superintendent of Police Nikhil Rakhecha, and other members of the district judiciary.

As part of the visit, Chief Justice Justice Ramesh Sinha also participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign by planting a sapling in the District Court premises, promoting environmental conservation. Source : locallaw.in
