Kondagaon District Court Organises Tree Plantation Drive on World Environment Day 2026

June 8, 2026 : On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation programme was organised at the residential complex of judicial employees under the Principal District and Sessions Court, Kondagaon. Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kondagaon, Khilawan Ram Rigri, planted saplings and conveyed the message of environmental conservation.

Addressing the officers and staff present at the event, the Principal District and Sessions Judge emphasised that environmental protection is one of the most pressing needs of the present time. He stated that trees not only provide clean air but also play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. He urged everyone to plant more trees and take responsibility for their care and maintenance.

During the programme, saplings of various species, including Harra, Baheda and Sal, were planted. District and Additional Sessions Judge Vikram Pratap Chandra, Chief Judicial Magistrate Reshma Bairagi Patel, and other court employees also participated in the plantation drive. They pledged to contribute actively towards environmental protection and the creation of a greener and healthier environment.

The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about environmental conservation and encourage the development of a clean and green ecosystem through tree plantation. The World Environment Day programme delivered a positive message on the importance of protecting nature and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
