Raigarh: The third National Lok Adalat of 2026 was held on Saturday at the District Court in Raigarh. The Lok Adalat was inaugurated by Principal District and Sessions Judge Jitendra Jain, who encouraged all judicial officers to ensure the maximum possible disposal of cases through mutual settlement and compromise between the parties. He also extended his best wishes for the success of the National Lok Adalat.
A total of 12,07,255 cases, including pending and pre-litigation matters, were resolved during the National Lok Adalat held across the district. The cases were settled through mutual consent and compromise between the parties, providing them with speedy and accessible justice.
A significant outcome was recorded at the Family Court in Raigarh, where five families were reunited and restored to matrimonial life following settlements between the parties. The families were extended best wishes for a happy and prosperous future. The initiative not only helped resolve disputes but also provided separated couples with an opportunity to rebuild their family lives.
The Lok Adalat also facilitated the participation of parties through virtual mode, enabling cases to be resolved through mutual settlement. The initiative further strengthened the spirit of “Justice at Your Doorstep”, which lies at the heart of the Lok Adalat system.
Representatives of various banks, finance companies, the Electricity Department and insurance companies, along with advocates, were present at the District and Sessions Court premises during the National Lok Adalat. They assisted the parties in facilitating the speedy and mutually agreed resolution of their cases.
