Special Commercial Court to Be Established in Durg for Speedy Resolution of Business Disputes

July 15, 2026 : Entrepreneurs, traders, and industrial establishments in Durg district are set to benefit from a significant initiative aimed at ensuring the speedy resolution of commercial disputes. Acting on the initiative of Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav, the State Government has initiated the process of establishing a Special Commercial Court in the district.

According to official information received from the Department of Law and Legislative Affairs, commercial disputes arising within Durg district will now be heard by the Court of the Fourth Civil Judge (Senior Division), Durg. A notification is being issued to designate this court as a Special Commercial Court at the Civil Judge level under Sections 3(1), 3(1A), 3(2), and 3(3) of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015.

The establishment of the Special Commercial Court is expected to ensure the timely and effective disposal of commercial disputes involving businesses, traders, and industries in the district. Faster adjudication of such cases will strengthen the judicial process, promote ease of doing business, and contribute to a more robust industrial and commercial environment in Durg.
