April 26, 2026 : In a significant move to advance the vision of “participative justice” and ensure the “doorstep delivery of justice,” the Supreme Court of India has launched SAMADHAN SAMAROH (Supreme Court Action for Mediated Adjudication and Disputes Harmonization Across Nation). This initiative, which commenced on April 21, 2026, is designed to facilitate the amicable settlement of matters currently pending before the nation’s highest court.
The program will culminate in a three-day Special Lok Adalat scheduled for August 21, 22, and 23, 2026.
The primary goal of this initiative is to resolve disputes through consent-based resolution mechanisms. The Supreme Court has extended an invitation to all advocates, litigants, and stakeholders to participate actively in this effort. To ensure accessibility, parties have the option to appear either physically or virtually through an online platform.
Parties interested in settling their disputes through this mechanism must submit a request via a prescribed Google Form.
Additionally, some cases have already been identified as suitable for the Special Lok Adalat. Those parties will be called to attend Pre-Lok Adalat Conciliation sittings at various Taluka, District, or State Legal Service Authority levels.
For information or assistance regarding SAMADHAN SAMAROH, stakeholders may reach out to the One Stop Centre (War Room) or the Centre for Registry and Process (C.R.P.):
