CBSE Extends Deadline for Class 12 Answer Book Photocopy Applications

May 23, 2026 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for applying to obtain scanned photocopies of Class 12 board examination answer books by one additional day. Students can now submit their applications until tomorrow, instead of the earlier deadline scheduled for today.

According to CBSE, the extension was granted after the board’s website witnessed exceptionally high traffic in recent days, along with repeated attempts of unauthorised interference, which caused technical disruptions.

The Board also clarified that students will be given up to two days to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation after they receive the scanned copies of their answer books. CBSE has advised candidates to utilise the extended timeline and complete the process within the stipulated period.
