June 2, 2026 : To make justice more accessible, affordable and people-centric, the Supreme Court of India has launched Samadhan Samaroh 2026, a nationwide initiative aimed at resolving pending disputes through dialogue, mediation and mutual settlement. The campaign commenced on April 21, 2026, and will culminate with a Special Lok Adalat to be held at the Supreme Court premises on August 21, 22 and 23, 2026.
The Special Lok Adalat will take up suitable cases pending before the Supreme Court for amicable settlement. Ahead of the event, pre-conciliation meetings are being organized through the State, District, Taluka and High Court Legal Services Authorities, as well as mediation centres. Parties may participate in these settlement discussions either in person or through virtual mode.
The objective of Samadhan Samaroh 2026 is to promote consensual dispute resolution and ensure speedy disposal of appropriate cases pending before the Supreme Court. Trained mediators and Secretaries of the District Legal Services Authorities are assisting the parties during the conciliation process to help them arrive at mutually acceptable settlements.
The Supreme Court has invited advocates, litigants and all other stakeholders to actively participate in the initiative. The Court believes that resolving disputes through mutual agreement will strengthen access to justice while reducing the burden of prolonged litigation.
Litigants whose cases are pending before the Supreme Court and who wish to have their matters considered in the Samadhan Samaroh (Special Lok Adalat) 2026 can register by filling out a dedicated Google Form. The form is simple to complete and is available on the official website of the Supreme Court of India.
