HNLU Raipur Signs Historic Multilateral MoU with 20 Global Universities at Bangkok Summit 2026

July 15, 2026 : Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, has achieved a significant international milestone by signing a historic multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 20 leading universities from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the United Arab Emirates during the prestigious AUAP-WURI Impact Summit 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand. The agreement marks a major step towards strengthening global collaboration in higher education, research, innovation, and sustainable development.

The two-day summit, held on July 9-10, 2026, at the ICONSIAM Convention Center in Bangkok, brought together university leaders, policymakers, innovation experts, and distinguished academicians from across the world. The theme of the summit focused on university innovation, policy, systems, and impact in partnership with governments.

Representing HNLU, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan presented the university’s innovative Research Hub and Spoke (R-HaS) Model, showcasing HNLU’s interdisciplinary research ecosystem, externally funded research projects, and its commitment to socially impactful and policy-oriented research. The presentation received wide appreciation from international delegates and academic experts.

Expressing his satisfaction over the achievement, Prof. Vivekanandan said the university is steadily expanding its global academic footprint through meaningful engagement with regional and international university networks. He described the multilateral MoU as a landmark initiative that will strengthen HNLU’s international academic partnerships. During the summit, he also held discussions with AUAP Secretary General Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup and Executive Secretary Dr. Supaporn Chuangchit on joint conferences, collaborative research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, and other future initiatives.

Under Article 3 of the MoU, all 20 participating institutions will collaborate on globally significant research and innovation projects, promote faculty, researcher, and student mobility, strengthen innovation and startup ecosystems, and jointly organize international conferences, workshops, and case studies.
