Patna Court Grants Bail to Gyan Bindu GS Academy Director Raushan Anand in Khan Sir Coaching Dispute Case

June 15, 2026 : A Patna court on Monday granted bail to Raushan Anand, Director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy, who was arrested in connection with the recent controversy involving Khan Global Studies, the coaching institute run by educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir.

The case arose from an incident on June 2, when Khan Sir alleged that his coaching institute was attacked and stones were pelted at the premises. He accused Anand of being involved in orchestrating the alleged attack. Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR and arrested Anand on June 3. He was also accused of involvement in an alleged assault on a security guard.

Following his arrest, Anand was remanded to judicial custody and lodged in Beur Central Jail, where he remained for 12 days while the investigation continued.

Appearing on behalf of Anand, Senior Advocate Ramakant Sharma argued before the court that his client had no role in the alleged incident. He questioned the prosecution’s version of events and contended that the conduct of security personnel associated with Khan Sir had not been adequately examined, while legal action was initiated against Anand.

While granting bail, the court observed that both parties were educators and should engage in healthy professional competition rather than becoming involved in criminal disputes. The court stressed the importance of maintaining professional conduct and focusing on educational activities.

The controversy took a dramatic turn during the investigation after CCTV footage related to the incident surfaced. According to reports, footage initially reviewed by police allegedly showed a physical altercation but no firing. However, another CCTV clip later emerged on social media, purportedly showing security guards opening fire.

Based on the later footage, police arrested two security guards. During questioning, the guards allegedly claimed that they had acted on the instructions of Khan Sir. Following these developments, a separate criminal case was registered against Khan Sir, and police initiated steps to arrest him.

However, on June 9, a Patna court granted interim protection from arrest to Khan Sir and stayed any coercive action against him. While Khan Sir secured anticipatory relief, Anand remained in custody pending a decision on his regular bail plea. With the court now granting him bail, Anand has secured significant relief in the ongoing legal battle.
