UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 Result Declared; Over 13,000 Candidates Qualify for Main Examination

June 16, 2026 : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2026. According to the commission, more than 13,000 candidates have been shortlisted for the Civil Services (Main) Examination against over 1,000 vacancies notified for this year’s recruitment cycle.

UPSC has clarified that candidates’ marks, category-wise cut-off marks, and the official answer key will be published on its website only after the final results of the Civil Services Examination are announced.

Candidates who appeared for the Preliminary Examination can check and download their results from the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.

For comparison, in 2025, over 14,000 candidates qualified for the Civil Services (Main) Examination against 1,087 vacancies.
