IIFT Invites Applications for Research Positions at Centre for WTO Studies (CRIT); Apply by April 10

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has released an official notification inviting applications for engagement of Researchers at its Centre for WTO Studies (CWS) under the Centre for Research in International Trade (CRIT), New Delhi.

The recruitment is aimed at filling positions at multiple levels, including Consultant, Associate, and Young Professional, offering opportunities to candidates interested in international trade, WTO policy, and economic research. The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.

As per the notification, the total number of positions is around 10 (indicative), and candidates from disciplines such as Economics, Law, International Relations, Public Policy, Data Science, and related fields are eligible to apply.

The remuneration varies depending on the role and experience. Consultant positions offer a monthly remuneration ranging from approximately ₹1.37 lakh to ₹2.65 lakh, while Associates may receive between ₹80,000 and ₹1.45 lakh per month. Young Professionals are offered around ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per month.

In terms of eligibility, candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. Experience requirements differ across posts, with Consultants requiring substantial post-qualification experience, while fresh graduates may apply for Young Professional roles (without experience).

The upper age limit ranges from 28 years for entry-level Young Professionals to 50 years for Consultant positions.

The Centre for WTO Studies at IIFT functions as a key policy think tank supporting the Government of India in WTO negotiations, trade policy formulation, and international economic research.
