Supreme Court Seeks Centre’s Response on NEET-PG 2026 Answer Key Transparency

Supreme Court of India SCI

The Supreme Court has sought responses from the Centre and the National Medical Commission (NMC) on a petition seeking greater transparency in the NEET-PG 2026 answer key and response disclosure process.

A bench comprising Justices P.S. Narasimha and Alok Aradhe issued notices to the authorities and tagged the petition with other pending pleas. The petitioners have sought access to the questions and answer options shown to each candidate, their recorded responses, and the correct answers. They contend that the existing system does not allow candidates to independently verify how their responses have been evaluated.

NEET-PG 2026 was conducted on August 30, while a supplementary examination was held on September 5 for candidates affected by a technical disruption at an examination centre in Jaipur. The Supreme Court’s consideration of the plea may have implications for transparency and accountability in the examination evaluation process.
